Markus has 20 years experience in biomechanics and medical device development in the orthopedic field. He is the inventor and team-lead developer of the AO Fracture Monitor, an active implantable sensor system for continuous measurement of bone healing, the world's first device of its kind, currently undergoing clinical trial in Europe to obtain CE marking. Markus is also the (co-)inventor of a variety of international patents currently being translated into medical devices to improve patient care, e.g. the CE-marked Biphasic Plate.

Markus holds a Masters degree in mechanical engineering and a PhD in human biology on Fracture Fixation in Osteoporotic Bone. He is on Stanford University’s list of the world’s top 2 percent of scientists.

Markus is passionate about improving human life through innovative and data-based solutions and founded BIOS Medical in early 2023.

Patrick is an established business leader with over 20 years of management experience in Europe and North America across various industries.

Patrick is the CEO of Anjuna, a data-driven service provider to major global airlines. He is a founding board member of Saturo, Europe's first complete meal in a bottle and the co-founder of Spine Nuances the sales, marketing and distribution arm of Coligne spine implants in North America. Previously, Patrick lead Vistaprint’s development of flexible mass customization technology for both promotional products & textiles.

Patrick holds a Masters degree in applied physics, a PhD in flexible robotics and an MBA in global management.

Patrick’s passion is to address unmet market needs through innovative solutions and joined Markus early 2023 to setup BIOS Medical.

Viktor has over 10 years experience in medical device software development.

During his graduate studies he became a Research Fellow at GE Healthcare Szeged, Hungary before joining the AO Research Institute Davos to focus on medical device software development according to IEC62304 software life-cycle processes and becoming an expert on low-power embedded solutions. Among other projects, Viktor was a core team member of the AO Fracture Monitor development team, the world’s first active implantable sensor system for continuous measurement of bone healing.

Viktor holds a Bachelors degree in IT engineering and a Masters degree in Computer Science with a focus on digital image processing algorithms.

Viktor joined BIOS Medical in March 2023 as the Senior Software Developer to continue his passion for data-driven medical devices.
